Saree teaser has all the makings of the next chartbuster; fans await Riteish Deshmukh’s full visual on June 27

The countdown to Dhamaal 4 has become a lot more musical. The makers unveiled the teaser of the viral song Saree on Thursday, offering a short but irresistible glimpse of the film’s latest  number featuring Riteish Deshmukh and Anjali Anand. Barely a few seconds long, the teaser has already done its job, it leaves you wanting to hit replay.

The melody floors you instantly, the visuals are celebratory and the chemistry between Riteish and Anjali feels easy, playful and full of charm. It doesn’t try too hard to sell the romance; it simply lets the two performers enjoy the moment, and that works in the song’s favour.

The audio is now available across streaming platforms, while the full video arrives on June 27. Going by the teaser, that wait is going to feel longer than expected. The original Marathi song Gulabi Sadi became nothing short of a phenomenon after its release, cutting across language barriers to emerge as one of the country’s biggest musical sensations. Its infectious hook, folk flavour and easy dance appeal turned it into a staple at weddings, college festivals and countless social media reels.

Now, Dhamaal 4 gives the viral favourite a Bollywood spin. The film appears to have reimagined the chartbuster with a fresh visual treatment, new voices and the unmistakable Dhamaal brand of fun. If the teaser is any indication, the makers have retained the spirit that made the original such a runaway success while giving it a larger-than-life cinematic canvas.

One of the biggest talking points is that Riteish is stellar in the song. Over the years, he has shown a keen eye for staging emotions with a flair and the teaser shows that he has brought the same instinct to Saree. There are flashes of gorgeous  sets, colourful frames and lively choreography, but the teaser wisely doesn’t reveal too much. It leaves enough mystery for audiences to look forward to the complete visual.

The song feels festive, romantic and commercial in the best sense of the word. It already sounds like the sort of track that will find its way into wedding playlists and social media reels.

If this sneak peek is anything to go by, Saree has the potential to become one of the standout songs of the season. More than anything, it piques curiosity about the complete video and the visual world Riteish has created. July 10 may be when Dhamaal 4 hits theatres, but for now, June 27 can’t come soon enough.
