Canara Bank Conducts Financial Inclusion Saturation Camp in Jammu to Promote Government Welfare Schemes

Jammu, July 4 : Canara Bank Regional Office Jammu conducted a Financial Inclusion Saturation camp under the chairmanship of Shri. Chandrashekhar Azad, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India and Shri. Chander Singh Tomar, General Manager, Canara Bank in Chorli village, Gram Panchayat Bishnah, on Friday, 3rd July 2026.

More than 100 customers from in and around the village participated in the Camp.

The main focus of the Financial Inclusion Saturation Camp was to

· Open Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana Accounts

· Enroll Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.

· Conduct Re-KYC in inactive Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dan Yojana Accounts

In addition, the camp was aimed at spreading awareness about the prevention of digital fraud, nomination awareness, registration, ways to access unclaimed deposits, and the grievance redressal mechanism in banks.

Smt. Vibha Gupta, DGM, RBI, Shri. Ram Sarup, DGM, RBI, Shri. Arun Pandita, Regional Head, Canara Bank, Regional Office, Jammu and other officials from RBI were also present in the Camp.

In the Financial Inclusion Saturation Camp, 50 PMJDY accounts, 15 Atal Pension Yojana accounts, 25 Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana accounts, and 50 Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana accounts were canvassed. Customers were also educated about various government schemes.
