Valapad, Thrissur, July 13 — Demonstrating his continued commitment to philanthropy and community development, Mr. V. P. Nandakumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Manappuram Finance Ltd., has contributed US$1.5 million to the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), the charitable arm of Lions International and one of the world’s largest humanitarian service organizations.
The contribution reinforces Mr. Nandakumar’s longstanding commitment to social welfare and humanitarian causes. Alongside his leadership in the financial services sector, he has consistently championed initiatives that create meaningful and lasting social impact through the Manappuram Foundation and the Lions movement.
The donation will support LCIF’s global humanitarian initiatives, including programmes focused on education, healthcare, disaster relief, youth empowerment, vision care and community development, helping improve the lives of vulnerable communities across the world.
In recognition of their exceptional contributions to humanitarian service, Mr. Nandakumar and his wife, Mrs. Sushma Nandakumar, were honoured during the Lions International Convention held in Hong Kong. The recognition celebrates their unwavering commitment to advancing community welfare and supporting impactful social initiatives.
