Mumbai, Aug 20: Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital has launched a dedicated Cancer Helpline to help patients and their families navigate the complexities that often follow a cancer diagnosis. the helpline is designed to provide timely guidance, support and direction at every stage of the cancer care journey.
A cancer diagnosis can often leave patients and families with questions around treatment options, the right specialist, nutrition, emotional well-being and the next steps in care. The new helpline brings these needs together through a single point of access, helping patients and caregivers seek relevant information and connect with the appropriate clinical and support services.
The initiative is supported by Nanavati Max’s dedicated Oncology Department, which brings together experienced specialists across Head & Neck, Gastrointestinal (GI), Thoracic, Breast, Orthopaedic Oncology, Precision Oncology and Medical Oncology. This multidisciplinary approach enables patients to be guided towards appropriate specialists and personalised treatment pathways based on their individual needs.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan, Vice Chairman – HPB & GI Surgery and Lead – Growth & Strategy, Oncology, Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai, said,
“A cancer diagnosis rarely arrives with clarity; what patients need most in that moment is someone to turn to. This helpline gives them exactly that: a single, trusted starting point where their questions are heard and their care is set in motion. For a disease that can feel isolating, even a simple conversation at the right time can change the course of a patient’s journey.”
The hospital’s new tower, equipped with advanced infrastructure and technology, further strengthens its oncology care capabilities and is designed to support a seamless patient experience across diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care.
The launch of the Cancer Helpline reflects Nanavati Max’s continued focus on making specialised cancer care more accessible and patient-centric.
