Salaam Namaste Launches Shiksha Utsav to Promote Awareness on Education, Environment and Health

Noida, Sep 09: IMS Noida Community Radio Salaam Namaste has initiated a special month-long Shiksha Utsavto promote awareness about the importance of education and knowledge, environmental conservation, health, and community participation. The initiative aims to go beyond the conventional understanding of education by creating awareness on important social issues and encouraging people to contribute towards positive change in society. During the programme, participants shared their views on education, personality development, environmental protection, and health-related issues.

Speaking about the initiative, Ms.Barsha Chhabaria, Station Head, Salaam Namaste, said that the objective of the Shiksha Utsav is not limited to highlighting the importance of education but also to create awareness among the community and inspire people towards positive social transformation. She added that the special initiative will continue throughout the month of September.

Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President, IMS Noida, appreciated the initiative and highlighted the important role of community radio in creating awareness and encouraging social responsibility. He said, Education is not limited to classrooms; it is a continuous process of learning, awareness and community engagement. Initiatives like Shiksha Utsav provide an effective platform to spread meaningful messages on education, environmental conservation and health, while inspiring people to contribute towards a more aware, healthy and sustainable society.

During the programme, IMS students shared their perspectives on education and personality development. They highlighted that education plays a vital role in the holistic development of an individual and serves as a strong foundation for the progress of society. The students also emphasized the importance of continuous learning for building a better and more empowered future.

As part of the programme, Neha Joshi spoke on the topic of “Reuse of Waste Items” and highlighted the importance of creatively reusing discarded and unused materials. She explained that responsible reuse can help reduce waste while making a meaningful contribution to environmental conservation.

Lovely Rajput shared her views on “Green Trees”, emphasizing the importance of tree plantation and maintaining a green environment. She urged people to plant more trees and remain aware and responsible towards environmental protection.

Meanwhile, Navjot Singh addressed the topic of “Nutrition”, highlighting the importance of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. He emphasized that nutritious and balanced food is essential for maintaining good health and ensuring the overall development of an individual.

Through interactive activities, informative discussions and community participation, Salaam Namaste is providing listeners with valuable information and meaningful messages on education, environment and health. The Education Festival will continue throughout September with the aim of spreading knowledge, awareness and inspiration across the community.
