The nationwide excitement around global Punjabi sensation Karan Aujla has surged to record-breaking levels as the India leg of his P-POP CULTURE World Tour achieves a historic feat 100,000 tickets sold within the first hour of general sales going live.
Aujla’s debut stadium show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN), New Delhi, alone registered 40,000 tickets in a day, with projections indicating a full 70,000-capacity sellout within the coming week. If achieved, the concert will become the largest single-artist, single-day show in New Delhi’s history, surpassing previous numbers set at the same venue including Travis Scott’s two-day 100,000 attendance and Diljit Dosanjh’s two-day 70,000 turnout.
This landmark moment also marks the first-ever instance of a Punjabi artist hitting such massive sales volume so rapidly.
The momentum arrives shortly after Aujla was named among Spotify’s most-streamed Punjabi artists of the year, alongside his ongoing rise as a global cultural force. He recently became the first Punjabi artist to headline Rolling Loud, and kicked off the tour with a massive 30,000-capacity show in Abu Dhabi setting the tone for an explosive India leg.
With ticket categories ranging from INR 999 to INR 6,00,000, the tour offers a wide range of access experiences, including Fanpit, VIP, VVIP Tables, King Of Good Times Lounge, and the premium HSBC Starstruck P-POP Pit, ensuring options for fans across demographics and budgets.
Promoted by Team Innovation, the India tour will span six cities in 2026, featuring arena shows in Bengaluru and Indore, Holi-special showcases in Mumbai and Pune, and groundbreaking stadium debuts in Chandigarh and New Delhi. The tour is projected to draw over 400,000 fans, positioning it as the biggest Punjabi pop tour ever hosted in the country, with additional cities expected to be added soon.
“The response has been nothing short of historic,” says Mohit Bijlani, Founder of Team Innovation.
“This is more than a concert it is a cultural movement. The demand reflects not just Aujla’s star power but a global moment for Punjabi music. We are ready to deliver yet another benchmark-setting live experience after a stellar run last year.”
The India edition follows Aujla’s blockbuster It Was All A Dream World Tour 2024, which broke attendance records across North America, the UK, New Zealand, and Canada, crossing USD $15 million in revenue and pulling 200,000+ fans in India alone. The P-POP CULTURE World Tour now extends that legacy to an even larger global stage louder, longer, and in unprecedented demand.
