PVR INOX Hosts Double Bill Celebrating Love, Heartbreak & Diverse Storytelling on February 27

Feb, 25: PVR INOX Limited, India’s largest and most premium cinema exhibitor, is set to bring back two unforgettable cinematic experiences to the big screen on February 27 the emotionally charged Bollywood classic Tere Naam starring Salman Khan, and the internationally acclaimed romance Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, featuring Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey. While Tere Naam remains etched in Indian pop culture for its raw portrayal of obsessive love, heartbreak, and sacrifice anchored by one of Salman Khan’s most intense performances Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind offers a hauntingly beautiful exploration of memory, loss, and the fragile complexity of relationships, blending science fiction with deeply human emotion. By reviving these two powerful love stories one rooted in dramatic passion and the other in introspective surrealism PVR INOX invites audiences to relive the magic, nostalgia, and emotional depth that made both films enduring favourites across generations.

“With the Tere Naam and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind re-releases, we are celebrating two very distinct yet equally powerful forms of storytelling,”

said Niharika Bijli, Lead Strategist, PVR INOX Limited.

“While Tere Naam’s intensity and raw emotions resonate deeply with Indian audiences, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, a globally celebrated masterpiece, offers a meditative and introspective take on memory, love, and relationships. At PVR INOX, we are passionate about reviving timeless stories that deserve to be experienced on the big screen. Through curated re-releases such as these, we aim to bring back the very best of cinema and create opportunities for audiences to relive or discover iconic films.”

The music of Tere Naam remains one of the most defining elements of the film’s legacy. Composed by Himesh Reshammiya and with two songs credited to Sajid–Wajid, the soundtrack is drenched in longing, devotion, and heartbreak, perfectly echoing the film’s intense emotional arc. From the soul-stirring title track “Tere Naam” to the haunting melancholy of “Tumse Milna” composed by Himesh Reshammiya, these songs became an anthem of unrequited love in the early 2000s.

Talking about the music of Tere Naam, Himesh Reshammiya said,

“The music of Tere Naam was always created with the intention of making something iconic and timeless but the fact is that the music of the film was conceived first and then these songs had to be positioned in the film and not vice versa as the case is usually with film music , this music of Tere Naam is so huge because it was not just romantic songs but blended so well with the characters of the movie which was the story of every lover in the country and that was my intention to connect with everyone in love with heartfelt melodies , the music of Tere Naam is not just another album it’s truly heartfelt by me and that’s the way I look at timeless music which needs to be composed with genuine intensity and pain and then one has to design a film which lifts the music , the makers due to Salman bhai agreeing to do the film fitted these songs in the film and rest is history. Every song came from a deeply spiritual place, shaped by the raw intensity of the film. The pain, the longing, the madness of love is evident in every note of the compositions , this thought that the songs of the film being composed first and then they were fitted into the film was not a usual practice in the industry but with Tere Naam it feels that everything blended so well, when one sees the film one realises how beautifully these songs were just so right for this iconic movie, cause these songs needed to be in such an incredible tragic love story which was real and honest , I really believe something becomes timeless only when it connects to collective memory when people don’t just hear the songs but see their own stories reflected in them. I am very grateful that the music of Tere Naam continues to live in people’s hearts even today, and it’s incredibly exciting to see the film returning to cinemas on February 27 at PVR INOX.”
