Aug 3: Tata Motors reported a strong performance in its commercial vehicle sales for July 2026, with total domestic and export sales rising 30percentage year-on-year to 19,590 vehicles, compared with 15,064 units in July 2025.
Domestic sales also witnessed healthy growth, with total vehicle sales increasing 33percentage year-on-year to 17,980 units, compared with 13,501 units in the corresponding month last year.
The M&HCV Trucks segment remained a key growth driver. Domestic sales in the category surged 43percentage year-on-year to 9,323 units, while domestic and export sales rose 47percentage to 9,809 units during the month.
The LCV segment also recorded strong momentum, with domestic sales growing 29percentage to 6,930 units and domestic plus export sales increasing 32percentage to 7,320 units year-on-year.
Overall, domestic M&HCV sales increased 36percentageyear-on-year to 11,050 units, while domestic and export sales grew 29percentage to 12,270 units.
For the cumulative period through July 2026, domestic total vehicle sales stood at 64,282 units, registering 17percentage growth over 54,728 units in the year-ago period. Domestic and export sales rose 15percentage year-on-year to 68,353 units, compared with 59,302 units previously.
While the M&HCV Bus segment remained subdued, with domestic sales declining 21percentage year-on-year on a cumulative basis, the overall performance was supported by sustained demand for M&HCV trucks and LCVs.
The July 2026 sales performance highlights continued strength across key commercial vehicle segments, with robust truck and LCV demand driving overall growth in both monthly and cumulative sales.
