Bharti Hexacom Posts 11percentage Revenue Growth in Q1 FY27; Net Income Rises 23percentage

Pune, Aug 6: Bharti Hexacom Limited has reported a strong financial and operational performance for the first quarter of FY27, with total revenues increasing 10.9percentage  year-on-year to Rs 2,510 crore. The growth was driven by sustained momentum in its mobile business, higher average revenue per user , and rapid expansion of its Homes, Offices and Other services segment. EBITDA for the quarter rose 13percentage  year-on-year to Rs 1,375 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved to 54.8percentage , reflecting continued operational efficiency.

The company’s mobile services revenue grew 9.3% year-on-year, supported by strong customer additions and improved customer quality. Mobile ARPU increased to Rs 259 from Rs 246 in the corresponding quarter last year, while smartphone data customers increased by 1.3 million over the past year, now accounting for 80% of the total mobile customer base. Mobile data usage also witnessed robust growth of 30.5% year-on-year, with average monthly data consumption reaching 36.2 GB per customer.

Bharti Hexacom also continued to strengthen its network infrastructure and customer experience during the quarter. The company deployed 399 additional towers over the past year to enhance network coverage and launched ‘Postpaid Fast Lane’, a new offering powered by 5G slicing technology aimed at delivering a superior customer experience for postpaid users.

The Homes, Offices and Other services segment emerged as a key growth engine, registering an impressive 61.4% year-on-year revenue growth. The company expanded its customer base in this segment to 0.9 million, supported by accelerating adoption of Wi-Fi and IPTV services. Its fibre network footprint also expanded to 121 cities from 115 cities a year ago, reinforcing its broadband growth strategy.

On the profitability front, EBIT increased 13.7% year-on-year to Rs 770 crore, while net income before exceptional items rose 23.2% to Rs 482 crore. Bharti Hexacom further strengthened its balance sheet, with the annualised Net Debt-to-EBITDA ratio improving to 0.80 from 1.30 a year earlier. The company incurred a capital expenditure of Rs 382 crore during the quarter, underscoring its continued investment in network expansion and digital infrastructure to support future growth.
