New Delhi, October 19, 2026: Strengthening its reputation as a destination for weddings and celebrations in Northeast India, Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, Guwahati, has been honoured with the title of ‘Best Wedding and MICE Hotel’ at the India Travel Awards 2026. The award was conferred at the ceremony held in New Delhi on October 15 and presented by H.E. Josel F. Ignacio, Ambassador of the Philippines to India, and Mr K. B. Kachru, Chairman Emeritus, Radisson Hotel Group, South Asia. It was received by Mr Pardeep Siwach, General Manager, Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, Guwahati, and Mr Jajnyeshwar Mishra, Corporate General Manager – Human Resources, Mayfair Elixir.
The recognition comes as Assam continues to attract domestic travellers, recording more than 90 lakh domestic tourist visits in 2025, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
