XTB introduces real-time in-app call verification to strengthen client accounts security

Apr 28: The XTB investment app has launched a new in-app call verification feature, taking a major step toward improving investor safety. As cyberthreats escalate globally and scammers adopt increasingly sophisticated tactics, XTB is setting a new standard for secure communication between financial institutions and their clients.

While the scale of today’s cyberthreats is unprecedented, most attacks share a common factor: the human element. According to the 2025 Global Threat Report by CrowdStrike, social engineering is on the rise, with “vishing” (voice phishing) attacks surging by 442% between the first and second halves of 2024. In a digital-first world, real-time identity verification is no longer just an option .it is essential

XTB’s new feature empowers clients to instantly confirm whether a phone call is genuinely coming from the company. Whenever a customer support or sales representative reaches out, the user can request  a real-time notification within the XTB app confirming  the caller’s identity.

“The safety of our clients’ accounts is our top priority,” said Omar Arnaout, CEO of XTB. “At a time when global cyberthreats are evolving faster than ever before, we believe financial institutions should lead with innovation and responsibility. We want every XTB client to feel empowered, informed, and fully confident during every interaction with our team”

Additionally, the new feature allows clients to streamline their verification process when interacting with XTB customer support. Instead of answering several security questions, they can now simply approve a push notification directly in the app.
